Theoretical Basis and Praxis

Combining person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and strength-based modalities with a systems theory approach...

"I believe that most humans experience comprehensive conditions and circumstances that necessitate the use of unique practice informed, bio-psycho-social and spiritual assessments, followed by holistic and integrated evidence-based intervention and actualization methods. I recognize the centrality of systems theory in understanding the human experience. Drawing from Deweyian approaches of pragmatism and praxis, provides a useful framework for understanding and applying education, interpersonal, and existential development for individuals, families, and groups."

"Engaging in program development, direct practice with individuals & groups, team management & supervision, and policy advocacy is why I love being a social worker."

"Every one of us deserves maximum attention and commitment to our mental health from all health care professionals. My model is dedicated to emphasizing a wellness-oriented continuum, demanding a seamless continuity of care that is essential to revealing the unique strengths and challenges of each individual person life journey, rather than becoming encumbered by the severe limitations of service centered systems of care."
